What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We want to make this development personal and give you, the users, the chance to influence how thinks work out. With our early access, you can help and be a part of the development. Your feedback and ideas will help us to run “Survive the West” in the right way.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We estimate that “Survive the West” will leave the Early Access Phase in around 24 Months. We want to use this time very intensively to move the game out of early Access, and being able to get your user feedback will surely speed things up.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

““Survive The West” is just a base so far. We are still working on every aspect of it and plan on filling it with more features, to make the gameplay more interesting and motivation. The game will allow a balanced game flow and all parts will be improved.

Some points which we want to add are:

  • more areas to explore
  • more mining tunnels
  • more possibilities to decorate and update bases
  • a train driving around the map
  • new Map Zones
  • more NPC’s
  • raise difficulty
  • advanced crafting and building
  • more weapon possibilities
  • cannons
  • advanced horse system, taming system
  • ideas from the community

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Our current status of “Survive The West” is functional and playable. You are spawning in a western open world, full of loot areas and points to build up your new home, you can play alone or with your friends in the World, you need to eat, drink, hunt, collect resources and you need weapons to protect yourself. While you're exploring the world you could find interesting and dangerous areas, be careful when you are hunting for lost treasures. But there will be areas that need refinement, that's why we are entering Early Access.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Right now this is undecided but the game price might increase at a later point.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We want to include the Community in the development progress as much as we can. Feedback is very welcome, and we want to read and realize your ideas and suggestions, for now you can use the Steam Forum. We want to give the Community the possibility to follow the upcoming update progress and future plans. This will be posted on our Steam News/Updates. We are very open and happy about you involving.

About This Game

You find yourself in a desert, full of strangers, wild animals and stuff you might want to collect. Gather everything you can, build some protection for yourself and be careful about others that might plan on hindering you.

Get rich or die trying.
If there's one thing you can find in the Wild West, then it's resources, waiting for you to collect them. Many of the things you see might look pretty, but they would feel even better when added to your inventory. Chop some wood, collect stones and use the local animal population to gather food.

For every problem, there's a solution.
Collecting wood takes too long? Craft an axe. Animals take way too many hits? Build a weapon. You can't see anything at night? Light a torch.
Thanks to a crafting system, all your resources have a specific use and, trust me, you don't want to miss out on any.

Home is where the wood is.
In times of basically no existing status icons, your own home is the best way of showing how superior you are. If you already built all the different tools and don't know what to do with all your leftover materials, then use them and create your own house, just the way you want it to be. A construction plan turns you into an architect in no time and a few minutes later, you will build walls wherever and whenever you want.

A trouble shared is a trouble halved.
The desert doesn't have to be that lonely. Thanks to full Multiplayer-Support, you can get your friends to keep you company. You will be able to collect double the materials without any extra effort, or you simply get yourself some competition. Other people, other houses and many extra nuances, like PvP or raiding of their bases to get even richer.

Are you playing these shooter games again?
If you don't feel like Wild West progress driven gameplay today, then don't worry, and get yourself into one of our additional gamemodes. Deathmatch, Team-Deathmatch and many more you can waste some time on and get this K/D up.
(Attention: These modes are still in a very early development stage)
